Job Requirements

  • Prior baking experience required
  • open availability including weekends
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willing to follow strict safety and sanitation guidelines
  • able to handle physical demands of baking such as standing for extended periods
  • good communication skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Prior baking experience preferably in a large-scale production kitchen
  • ability to follow recipes and production specifications accurately
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • experience in maintaining equipment cleanliness
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • open availability including weekends

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assists in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
  • assists with the completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • informs supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • handles food items with safety and proper regulations during preparation and service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly manner
  • consistently keeps up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • checks all food presentation, serving and display per standards
  • follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment
  • completes shift work timely and thoroughly
  • performs other duties as assigned
