Job Requirements

  • Previous baking experience required
  • Ability to work full-time including varying days and hours, nights and weekends
  • Ability to follow recipes and production standards accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
  • Physical capability to handle baking tasks and equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proven experience as a baker in a commercial kitchen
  • Familiarity with baking equipment and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good time management skills to meet production deadlines
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets
  • Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • Ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes and production standards
  • Maintain proper presentation, food quality, portion control and serving temperatures
  • Keep equipment, supplies and utensils sanitary and orderly
  • Handle food items following safety regulations during preparation and service
  • Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally
  • Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • Follow sanitation and safety principles ensuring corporate and OSHA standards
  • Complete shift work timely and thoroughly according to department standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
