Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior baking experience preferred
  • willingness to learn and be trained
  • ability to work full-time hours Monday through Friday, 5:00 am - 1:00 pm
  • dependable and punctual
  • able to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle customer interactions professionally
  • compliance with company and OSHA food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior baking experience preferred but willing to train
  • ability to follow recipes and production specifications accurately
  • strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • good communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work early morning shifts and full-time schedule
  • able to maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace
  • capability to work efficiently under peak production conditions

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
  • assist with the completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • handle food items appropriately following safety regulations during preparation and service
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving for other assignments
  • keep display equipment clean and free of debris
  • interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors
  • keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • check to ensure all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • follow principles of sanitation and safety ensuring corporate and OSHA standards are met
  • complete assigned shift work in a timely and thorough manner
  • perform other duties as assigned
