Job Requirements
- Prior experience is preferred
- willing to train
- ability to perform physical tasks associated with baking
- ability to work early morning shifts Monday to Friday 5:00 am to 1:00 pm
- ability to follow health and safety regulations
- eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior baking experience preferred but not required
- ability to follow recipes and production guidelines
- strong organizational skills
- good communication and customer service skills
- ability to work early morning shifts
- reliability and punctuality
- ability to work as part of a team and independently
- willing to learn and adapt
Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
- assists in production planning to meet daily requirements
- ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- assists with the completion of production records including waste tracking and product shortages
- informs supervisor when supplies are low
- ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils
- handles food items safely and according to safety regulations
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly
- interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly manner
- relays customer concerns to supervisors
- keeps up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
- checks food presentation and serving standards
- follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment
- completes shift work timely and thoroughly
- performs other duties as assigned
