Job Requirements
- minimum of an associate degree in related field
- at least 1 year of experience in a professional bakery or kitchen setting with knowledge of artisan breads and pastries as well as basic mixing skills
- an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
- must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers, students, faculty, and staff face to face, and maintain a pleasant and inviting environment for all
- must be able to produce products using standard and non-standard recipes
- must have basic pastry skills
- must be able to work with others and supervise interns in the production of like items
- must be able to evaluate product errors and make corrections to prevent waste
- must maintain a proper inventory of stock items for production of retail/wholesale products
- must be able to keep simple records
- must be able to conduct inventory and report needed supplies
- must maintain proper sanitation standards
Job Qualifications

- follows recipes and production sheets accurately
- responsible for sanitation
- maintains proper levels of inventory for the display cases and customer orders
