Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Recognized equivalent of a high school diploma or foreign high school diploma
  • Two years in a professional kitchen
  • Good communication and culinary skills
  • Professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of all food handling procedures

  • Two years as a professional baker (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Responsible for quality, quantity and timeliness of food preparation
  • Communicate with Lead Baker and Pastry Chef regarding issues as they arise
  • Ensure a quality-plated food presentation, portioning according to recipe standards, proper garnishes and substitution procedures are followed consistently
  • Implement all food and beverage procedures for food storage, rotation, spoilage, sanitation and prevention of cross-contamination
  • Responsible for following recipes, times and temperatures to produce high quality and consistent products
  • Responsible for conforming to all Indian Health Services standards
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
