Job Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of related baking experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws, principles, and procedures
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment drug screening
  • Satisfactory completion of criminal background check
  • Satisfactory completion of Transportation Security Administration background check
  • Availability to work variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight as needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate baking and kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

Job Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of company and FDA standards, processes, and procedures
  • Knowledge of baking supplies, equipment, and inventory control
  • Ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards
  • Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries and baked goods
  • Ability to gather data and prepare reports
  • Ability to receive, stock, and deliver goods
  • Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities and equipment
  • Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods and quality standards
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with restaurant operations team and upper leadership team
  • Protects organization's value by keeping company information confidential
  • Provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • Works flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
  • Multitasks and prioritizes tasks effectively
  • Preps ingredients and assembles baked goods according to restaurant recipes and specifications
  • Reviews production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake
  • Shapes dough for cookies, pies, and pastries using tools and machinery
  • Bakes, proofs, and inspects product quality, making necessary adjustments
  • Applies glazes, icings, or toppings to baked goods using spatulas or brushes
  • Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, deep-fat fryers, slicers
  • Reads orders and receives instructions to bake to specifications
  • Verifies baked goods meet quality and quantity requirements
  • Cleans and restocks workstations and display cases
  • Adheres to safety protocols in a safety sensitive position
