Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws, principles, procedures, and practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment drug screening
- Satisfactory completion of criminal background check
- Satisfactory completion of TSA background check
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret business and technical procedures and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members
Job Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and understanding of company and FDA standards, processes and procedures
- Knowledge of restaurant and baking supplies, equipment, and services including ordering and inventory control
- Ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards
- Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries and other baked goods
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
- Detail oriented
- Excellent listening skills
- Team player with ability to collaborate respectfully with management, co-workers, guests, and vendors
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to varying demands
- Effective and friendly interpersonal communication skills
Job Duties
- Collaborates with restaurant operations team and upper leadership team
- Protects organization's value by keeping company information confidential
- Provides excellent internal and external customer service
- Works flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Preps ingredients and assembles baked goods according to restaurant recipes and specifications
- Reviews production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake
- Shapes dough for cookies, pies and fancy pastries by hand or using equipment
- Cuts and weighs dough into uniform portions, molds dough, proofs and bakes
- Applies glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods
- Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers
- Reads order slips or receives instructions to bake to specifications
- Verifies quality and quantity of prepared baked goods
- Cleans, stocks and restocks workstations and display cases
