Job Requirements

  • None education level required
  • Minimum of two years related experience in baking or food service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must pass Transportation Security Administration security clearance
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy, and hot work environment
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and respectful
  • Must follow food safety and sanitation laws and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of related baking or food service experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of FDA and company food safety standards and procedures
  • Familiarity with baking supplies, equipment, and inventory control
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards
  • Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries and baked goods
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with ability to collaborate and show professionalism
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands
  • Basic math and analytical skills
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of culinary equipment maintenance and care

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with restaurant operations team and upper leadership team
  • Protects organization's value by keeping company information confidential
  • Provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • Works flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Prepares and assembles baked goods according to recipes and specifications
  • Reviews production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake
  • Shapes dough by hand or with equipment, weighs dough portions, molds dough into shapes, and bakes in ovens
  • Applies glazes, icings, or toppings to baked goods using proper tools
  • Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, and deep-fat fryers
  • Reads order slips or verbal instructions and ensures product quality and quantity
  • Cleans and restocks workstations and display cases
  • Assists with other restaurant functions including prep-cook, dishwashing, cashiering, and maintenance as needed
