Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of related baking experience
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws, principles, procedures, and practices
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and technical procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
- Ability to work variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Willingness to assist with other restaurant duties as needed
- Satisfactory completion of Transportation Security Administration background check
- No specific educational level required
Job Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and understanding of food safety and FDA standards
- Experience in food service or baking with ability to prepare a variety of baked goods
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and observational skills
- Knowledge of culinary equipment maintenance and food presentation techniques
- Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- High personal integrity with initiative and responsibility
- Knowledge of ingredient measurement and baking processes
Job Duties
- Collaborates with restaurant operations team and upper leadership team
- Protects organization's value by keeping company information confidential
- Provides excellent internal and external customer service
- Prepares ingredients and assembles baked goods according to restaurant recipes and specifications
- Reviews production schedules to determine the variety and quantity of baked goods required
- Shapes, cuts, weighs, and bakes dough products ensuring quality and consistency
- Decorates baked goods with glazes, icings, or toppings as specified
- Operates industrial baking and cooking equipment safely and efficiently
- Reads and follows order slips or instructions to meet baking specifications
- Monitors and maintains quality control standards
- Cleans, stocks, and restocks workstations and display cases
- Assists with other restaurant functions as needed including prep-cook, dishwashing, cashiering, and maintenance
