Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior baking experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety practices
  • ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with restaurant operations team and upper leadership team
  • protects organization's value by keeping company information confidential
  • provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • works flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
  • multi-tasks and quickly prioritizes tasks
  • is food safety driven with food service/baking experience
  • preps ingredients and assembles baked goods according to restaurant recipes and specifications
  • reviews production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake and to assemble supplies and equipment needed
  • shapes dough for cookies, pies, and pastries by hand or using dough rollers and industrial equipment
  • cuts and weighs dough into uniform portions, molds dough into shapes, proofs dough, bakes in ovens, inspects product quality and adjusts processes as required
  • applies glazes, icings, or toppings to baked goods
  • operates large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, deep-fat fryers, slicers, and griddles
  • reads order slips or screens and receives verbal instructions to bake to specifications
  • orders and takes delivery of product as needed
  • verifies prepared baked goods meet quality and quantity requirements
  • cleans, stocks, and restocks workstations and display cases
  • maintains safety standards as this is a safety sensitive position
