Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience in baking from scratch
  • Preferred experience as line cook or prep cook
  • Ability to work part-time weekend shifts
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety protocols
  • Creative mindset for menu innovation
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate tasks

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience baking from scratch in a busy kitchen
  • Experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
  • Ability to introduce new baked items creatively
  • Skills in decorating baked goods
  • Education may be substituted for experience
  • Ability to work weekend part-time shifts
  • Strong attention to food safety and sanitation
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare baked goods and desserts for residents and employees following standardized recipes
  • Calculate quantities required for the number of persons to be served
  • Delegate responsibilities to cook assistants
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining safe and sanitary work areas
  • Ensure correct food storage and labeling using FIFO methods
  • Meet food production schedules according to the menu
  • Prepare baked goods for banquets and special functions
