Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience baking from scratch in a busy kitchen
  • Experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
  • Creativity in menu development and dessert decoration
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately
  • Strong organizational and delegation skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Willingness to work part-time weekend shifts

Job Duties

  • Prepare baked goods and desserts following standardized recipes
  • Calculate ingredient quantities needed according to the number of persons to be served
  • Delegate responsibilities to cook assistants
  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain safe and sanitary work area
  • Ensure proper food storage using FIFO methods
  • Meet food production schedules according to menu
  • Notify Food Service Director or Chef of low food supplies
