Job Requirements

  • at least one year of baking experience or equivalent education
  • ability to work weekends part-time
  • creativity in baking and decorating
  • knowledge of food safety practices
  • ability to follow standardized recipes
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • fully vaccinated against COVID-19 preferred

Job Qualifications

  • at least one year of baking experience in a busy kitchen or equivalent education
  • experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
  • ability to follow standardized recipes accurately
  • strong creativity and decoration skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • effective delegation and team collaboration skills
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • prepares appetizing baked goods and desserts according to standardized recipes
  • delegates responsibility to cook assistants for support in preparation
  • assists in cleaning and maintaining safe and sanitary work areas
  • ensures proper storage, marking, and dating of food items using FIFO methods
  • meets food production schedules aligned with the menu
  • prepares baked goods and desserts for banquets and special events
  • communicates low supply levels to Food Service Director and Chef
