Job Requirements
- At least one year experience baking from scratch
- Experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
- Ability to work weekends
- Part-time availability
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow standardized recipes
- Physical ability to perform kitchen duties
- Fully vaccinated preferred
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience baking from scratch in a busy kitchen or equivalent education
- Experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
- Ability to introduce creative new menu items
- Skill in decorating baked goods
- Strong communication and delegation skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to meet food production schedules
- Commitment to customer satisfaction
Job Duties
- Prepare baked goods and desserts from standardized recipes
- Calculate quantities required for service
- Delegate tasks to cook assistants
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the work area
- Ensure proper food storage using FIFO methods
- Meet food production schedules
- Prepare baked goods for special functions
- Communicate inventory needs to Food Service Director or Chef
- Adhere to Food Service Department motto and standards
- Perform additional assignments as required
