Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- communicates with team members and adapts to business needs by working in different bakery areas
- prepares bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
- follows recipes and make-up instructions
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies and procedures
- ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and cold chain compliance
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes bakery equipment
- demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution
- leverages digital tools to drive sales and improve shopping experience
- utilizes handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and quality
- ensures operational excellence and maintains work area according to company standards
- adheres to quality and date control standards for bakery items
- secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- eliminates waste
- assists members with purchasing decisions
- serves as an advocate for the department by delivering high-quality service and products
- complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners
- identifies priorities, communicates progress, and recommends improvements
- adapts to changes and learns from feedback
