Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to stand for long periods

- must successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within prescribed time period

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in bakery or food service environment preferred
- ability to operate bakery equipment and follow recipes
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
- basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld technology
- excellent multitasking and time management skills
- commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Be a team member collaborating with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- be an expert preparing bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes/make-up instructions, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures
- be a techie leveraging digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience, utilizing hand held technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- be an owner ensuring commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures, ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items, securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise, eliminating waste, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored
- be a talent ambassador advocating for the department and the club by modeling high quality service and products, executing basics at highest quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion
- comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by applying related action plans and using the Open Door Policy
- complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, communicating progress and information, recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to change and feedback
