Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a bakery or food preparation environment preferred
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- ability to follow recipes and operational procedures accurately
- competency with technology and handheld devices
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- excellent customer service skills
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- communicates with team members and adapts to business needs by working in other areas
- prepares bakery merchandise by operating baking equipment and following recipes
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies
- ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, and inventory standards
- operates and sanitizes equipment
- uses handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production and quality
- maintains work area to company standards and controls quality and date standards for bakery items
- assists members with purchasing decisions
- advocates for the department by modeling high quality service and products
- complies with company policies and ethics
- completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers
- communicates progress and recommends improvements
- adapts to change and feedback
