Job Qualifications

  • ability to operate baking and packaging equipment

  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

  • ability to maintain quality and date control standards

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team
  • prepare bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
  • follow recipes and make-up instructions
  • wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and cold chain compliance
  • operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
  • utilize handheld technology for production, merchandise ordering, training, and quality decisions
  • maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area
  • assist members with purchasing decisions
  • secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise
  • eliminate waste
  • advocate for the department by modeling high-quality service and products
  • comply with company policies and ethical standards
  • complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers and co-workers
  • adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback
