Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- communicates with team members and adapts to business needs
- prepares bakery merchandise based on production needs by operating baking equipment
- follows recipes and make-up instructions
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies and procedures
- ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
- demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution
- leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
- utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production and merchandise ordering
- adapts to new technology and encourages others to use them
- ensures commitment to operational excellence and maintains work area cleanliness
- maintains quality and date control standards
- secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- eliminates waste
- assists members with purchasing decisions
- ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored
- advocates for the department by valuing the member’s experience
