Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in bakery or food service preferred
- Ability to operate baking equipment and follow recipes accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in using digital tools and handheld technology
- Ability to stand for long periods and multitask effectively
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment and following recipes
- Wraps, labels, and stores bakery merchandise according to company policies and food safety standards
- Uses handheld technology to make business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, and product quality
- Maintains work area according to operational excellence standards
- Assists members with purchasing decisions and provides exceptional customer service
- Complies with company policies, ethics, and safety procedures
