Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in bakery or food preparation desirable but not required
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- basic computer proficiency to use digital tools
- understanding of food safety and sanitation principles
- ability to multitask and stand for long periods
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
- follows recipes and wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies and food safety standards
- utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production and product quality
- maintains work area and ensures quality and date control standards for bakery items
- assists members with purchasing decisions and answers questions
- complies with company policies and maintains operational excellence
