Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise
- ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management
- utilizes handheld technology to make business decisions related to production and merchandise ordering
- maintains work area according to company policies and procedures, ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items
- assists members with purchasing decisions and ensures merchandise is properly packaged
- advocates for the department by valuing member experience and modeling high quality service, complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources, collaborating and communicating with managers, co-workers, customers to identify priorities and improvements
