Job Qualifications

- experience in bakery or food preparation is a plus but not required
- ability to operate baking equipment and follow detailed recipes

Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- communicates with team members and adapts to business needs by working in various areas
- prepares bakery merchandise daily by operating baking equipment and following recipes
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to policies and food safety standards
- ensures compliance with sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
- uses handheld technology to make business decisions related to production, ordering, training, and quality
- maintains commitment to operational excellence by keeping work area clean and organized
- ensures quality and date control standards for bakery items
- secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- assists members with purchasing decisions
- serves as an advocate for the department by modeling high quality service and products
- complies with company policies and procedures
- completes work assignments by collaborating with managers and coworkers and adapting to change
- provides exceptional customer service by greeting members and answering questions
- maintains a positive attitude and member-ready environment
