Job Duties

  • Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
  • communicates with team members and remains flexible to business needs by working in other areas
  • prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
  • follows recipes and make-up instructions accurately
  • wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies and food safety standards
  • ensures compliance with sanitation and cold chain guidelines
  • operates, maintains, and sanitizes bakery equipment
  • utilizes handheld technology to manage production, ordering, training, and product quality
  • adapts to and promotes the use of digital tools among team members
  • maintains work area in accordance with company policies ensuring quality and date control standards
  • secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise and eliminates waste
  • assists members with bakery purchasing decisions providing exceptional customer service
  • acts as an advocate for the department by modeling high-quality service and products
  • complies with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity
  • completes work assignments efficiently while communicating progress and collaborating with managers and coworkers
  • adapts to and learns from change and feedback to improve performance
