Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- communicates with team members and remains flexible to business needs by working in other areas
- prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
- follows recipes and make-up instructions accurately
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies and food safety standards
- ensures compliance with sanitation and cold chain guidelines
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes bakery equipment
- utilizes handheld technology to manage production, ordering, training, and product quality
- adapts to and promotes the use of digital tools among team members
- maintains work area in accordance with company policies ensuring quality and date control standards
- secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise and eliminates waste
- assists members with bakery purchasing decisions providing exceptional customer service
- acts as an advocate for the department by modeling high-quality service and products
- complies with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity
- completes work assignments efficiently while communicating progress and collaborating with managers and coworkers
- adapts to and learns from change and feedback to improve performance
