Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- communicates with team members and is flexible to business needs
- prepares bakery department merchandise by operating baking equipment and following recipes
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies
- ensures compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
- leverages digital tools to drive sales and improve shopping experience
- uses handheld technology for production and inventory decisions
- commits to operational excellence and maintains work area cleanliness
- ensures quality and date control standards are met for bakery items
- assists members with purchasing decisions
- packages merchandise properly
- advocates for the department and models high quality service
- complies with company policies and ethical standards
- completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers
- communicates progress and suggests improvements
