Job Duties
- Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
- follow recipes and make-up instructions
- wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies and procedures
- ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
- utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- maintain work area according to company policies and procedures
- ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items
- secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- eliminate waste
- assist members with purchasing decisions
- model high quality service and products
- comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources
- communicate progress and information
- adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback
