prior retail or bakery experience preferred
ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions

ability to operate bakery equipment
willingness to use handheld technology
ability to stand for long periods and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
communicates with the team and adapts to business needs
prepares bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by following recipes and operating baking equipment
wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies
ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management
operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
provides exceptional customer service by assisting members and answering their questions
maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready bakery area
utilizes handheld technology to make business decisions related to production and merchandise ordering
ensures quality and date control standards are met
eliminates waste and secures fragile merchandise
serves as an advocate for the department by valuing the member experience and modeling high-quality service
complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics
completes work assignments by collaborating with managers and co-workers
adapts to and learns from change and feedback
