Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
able to stand for long periods

able to lift and handle bakery merchandise safely
commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
able to use handheld technology and digital tools
willingness to collaborate with team members and provide excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in a bakery or food service environment advantageous
ability to operate bakery and packaging equipment
strong customer service skills
familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
proficiency in using handheld technology for business decisions
ability to maintain quality and inventory controls
excellent communication and teamwork abilities
physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
problem-solving skills with a focus on excellence

Job Duties

Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
communicates effectively with team members and adapts to business needs
prepares bakery department merchandise according to daily production requirements by operating baking equipment and following recipes
wraps, labels, and stores merchandise following company policies and food safety standards
ensures compliance with sanitation guidelines and cold chain protocols
operates, maintains, and sanitizes bakery equipment
leverages digital tools and handheld technology to enhance sales and improve the shopping experience
demonstrates understanding of product knowledge and layout execution
upholds quality and date control standards
secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
eliminates waste and assists members with purchasing decisions
maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready bakery area
models high-quality service and product standards
complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
completes work assignments by prioritizing tasks and collaborating with managers and co-workers
adapts to changes and feedback positively while delivering exceptional customer service
