Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a bakery or food service environment preferred
- ability to follow instructions carefully
- basic math skills for measurements
- ability to stand for extended periods
- willing to work early mornings and weekends
- good manual dexterity

- Basic knowledge of measurements
- ability to read and follow recipes
- basic cake decorating skills
- knowledge of plating cakes and desserts for meal service
- knowledge of bakery supplies and commercial kitchen equipment
Job Duties
- Follow existing recipes
- measure, weigh and prepare ingredients
- knead, roll, cut and prepare dough as needed
- monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines and other baking equipment
- ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards
- clean and maintain baking equipment, utensils and tools
- monitor items during baking
- decorate, glaze, apply icing and prepare toppings for baked goods
- operate slicing, cutting and wrapping equipment
