Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience or strong interest in baking and pastry arts
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and production instructions accurately
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with guests
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in food handling
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting
- Physical ability to perform required duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- Adhere to all health department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor stock levels and service floor needs to ensure proper assortment and production
- Maintain food safety logs and ensure quality standards are met daily
- Collaborate closely with bakery team members to meet department goals
- Maintain regular and timely attendance, providing notice for absences
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team
