Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Experience or strong interest in baking and pastry arts
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and production instructions accurately
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with guests
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in food handling
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting
  • Physical ability to perform required duties including lifting and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
  • Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
  • Adhere to all health department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
  • Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Monitor stock levels and service floor needs to ensure proper assortment and production
  • Maintain food safety logs and ensure quality standards are met daily
  • Collaborate closely with bakery team members to meet department goals
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance, providing notice for absences
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team
