Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen/bakery equipment
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends
- Must pass background check
- Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, and pull a minimum of 100 lbs in a cart
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder while carrying a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must have knowledge of proper pastry bag, cake decorating skills, piping techniques, and knife and spatula techniques
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and/or entire shifts
- Must have flexibility in fingers and hands to utilize kitchen/bakery equipment, bottles, glasses, knives etc.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be familiar with all phases and operations of the bakery and able to have a sense of urgency and react to changing business demands
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and bakery equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays
- Ability to pass a background check
- Skilled in pastry bag handling, cake decorating, piping techniques, and knife and spatula techniques
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Strong manual dexterity and finger flexibility
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Familiarity with all bakery operations and ability to respond to changing business needs
Job Duties
- Responsible for the production and decorating of all baked and finished goods for property outlets
- Follows standard, established recipes by weighing, mixing, proofing, baking and finishing baked products
- Produces individual pastries, cakes, pies, plated desserts, breads, cookies, and pies
- Decorates items by set standards established by the company
- Mixes, forms and bakes formulas accurately for consistent product quality
- Troubleshoots product issues when items do not meet standards
- Follows order forms and forecasts ingredient needs for upcoming production
- Prepares pans for baking and operates baking equipment including mixers, steam kettles, sheeters, glaze machines, fryers, broilers and other kitchen tools
- Oversees workstation based on par levels, occupancy, and reservations
- Maintains and rotates food stock to ensure quality and freshness
- Provides relief for Sous Chefs and assists in kitchen areas as needed
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation in line with department standards
- Recognizes and corrects product discrepancies and quality variation
