Job Requirements
- Accountable, pleasant and is able to take initiative
- Knowledge and 1-2 years of experience in making bakery products (bread, cake and/or other pastries), including dough mixing, cake cutting and decorating
- Knowledge in workplace health and safety and food safety (FoodSafe Certification requires)
- Experience in supervising bakery production workflow and controlling cost and wastage
- Ability to manage and train employees
- Able to communicate in English
- proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is advantageous
- Flexible to work in various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning, and evening hours
- Good understanding of tools and equipment relevant to the job

Job Duties
- Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce
- Plan and prepare ingredients and dough for bread, cakes, rolls, mousse, puddings, sweet goods, batters and icings and frostings according to standard operating procedures or special customer orders
- Control product (bread, cake and/or other pastries) quality, inventory level and wastage according to the established standards
- Oversee the mixing of flour, dough, cake mix and other baking ingredients
- Supervise the baking production processes
- Provide guidance and supervision to the Bakery Production team, ensure fair distribution of work, and ensure proper scheduling is done
- Provide training to Bakery Production Associates and provide feedback on staff performance
- Participate in new product research and development process, encourage innovations
- Order and replenish inventory as and when required
- Responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment, and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the production area
