Job Requirements

  • Previous baking experience preferred
  • willingness to receive training
  • ability to work full time or part time with flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to perform physical tasks related to baking
  • must comply with food safety and sanitation standards
  • capable of standing for extended periods
  • able to follow detailed instructions
  • drug-free workplace compliance
  • readiness to maintain high production standards under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous baking experience preferred but willing to train
  • ability to follow recipes and production standards
  • basic food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays and overnight
  • good customer service and communication skills
  • capability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work area

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and equipment
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking and inventory management
  • maintain proper food presentation, quality, portion control and serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and work area
  • handle food items adhering to safety regulations
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally
  • keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • ensure all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • follow sanitation and safety principles in food handling and equipment use
  • complete assigned shift work timely and thoroughly
  • perform other duties as assigned
