Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating baking or pastry arts within a bakery restaurant or catering environment
- Strong skills in food handling kitchen safety protocols and culinary techniques
- Familiarity with food industry regulations and best practices for food safety and sanitation
- Previous experience with food packaging presentation and portion control preferred
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques related to baking and pastry creation
- Prior restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not mandatory enthusiasm for learning is essential
Job Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of baked goods including cakes pastries and desserts with attention to detail and artistic flair
- Decorate cakes and confections using piping fondant and other decorating techniques to create visually stunning products
- Handle food packaging efficiently to ensure freshness and presentation quality for retail or catering orders
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist in food production tasks such as mixing baking portioning and garnishing to support daily kitchen operations
- Support catering events by preparing specialty items and ensuring timely delivery of finished products
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of customer service by providing quality products that exceed expectations
