Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • have outgoing and friendly behavior and positive attitude
  • have good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work area
  • be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8 hours per shift
  • able to transfer trays and items up to specified weights and distances without mechanical assistance
  • adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • maintain a food handler's permit

Job Qualifications

  • be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • have good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to bakery duties

Job Duties

  • assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, products, floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
  • answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitation of work area
