Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have outgoing and friendly behavior and positive attitude
- have good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work area
- be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8 hours per shift
- able to transfer trays and items up to specified weights and distances without mechanical assistance
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain a food handler's permit
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- have good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to bakery duties
Job Duties
- assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, products, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation of work area
