Job Requirements
- Ability to represent and support Big Y's culture of caring while living our mission and vision
- Support Big Y's diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
- Must be proficient in baking and ordering for the entire sales areas of the bakery department
- Must project a clean and professional appearance
- Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards
- Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Qualifications
- Proficient baking skills
- Experience with bakery product ordering and inventory management
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to maintain food safety standards
- Capable of working in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and cross-train in multiple bakery roles
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality baked goods to meet bakery standards
- Maintain bakery department cleanliness and food safety compliance
- Manage proper ordering and inventory for bakery products
- Provide knowledgeable and expert customer service
- Assist in cross training and support other bakery areas as needed
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards
- Present a clean and professional appearance at all times
