Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
- flexible availability including weekends, holidays, early mornings, afternoons, and evenings
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- familiarity with safety practices related to bakery equipment
- effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior bakery experience is a plus but not required
- strong customer service skills
- ability to follow recipes and production standards
- knowledge of health and safety standards
- teamwork and communication skills
- ability to handle physical demands of the job
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- adhere to all health department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production levels
- maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
- work closely with all bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
- regular, timely attendance and adequate notice for absences
- perform other duties as assigned
