Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • no felony theft or stealing convictions
  • must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • must pass background investigation
  • must obtain and maintain gaming license
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • able to work evenings graveyards holidays and weekends
  • able to work extended hours and irregular shifts
  • able to work in all venues unless specified otherwise by management

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • one year of recent experience as a baker pastry cook or baker’s assistant or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment utensils tools and machinery
  • knowledge of safe kitchen working practices
  • knowledge of basic bread and pastry methods and techniques
  • ability to communicate read and write clearly in basic English
  • ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service
  • ability to work effectively in a busy fast paced environment
  • ability to perform in professional appearance and manner
  • ability to organize and coordinate tasks among team members
  • ability to safely use and administer cleaning equipment and supplies
  • knowledge of basic foods and their uses
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to learn culinary methods techniques and principles
  • ability to communicate clearly to all levels of management

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of baked goods according to menu and business demand
  • uses and learns proper knife skills baking and pastry techniques methods and terminology
  • reads follows standardized recipes for bakery and pastry items
  • understands and follows through with all assigned tasks
  • communicates clearly with Pastry Chefs
  • maintains and communicates needed foods and products to ensure safe par and stock levels
  • maintains clean organized and sanitized work area following health food safety regulations and codes
  • ensures assigned kitchen venues are ready to open by designated management time
  • maintains cleanliness and organization of food storage areas including refrigeration freezer and dry storage
  • ensures all equipment tools floors work stations and food prep areas are clean and clutter free
  • follows established casino kitchen procedures
  • communicates well with team members maintaining a positive professional work environment
  • contributes to team effort accomplishing all tasks
  • performs other duties as required
