Job Requirements

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Culinary or closely aligned field or equivalent experience
minimum two years of professional baking experience
serve-safe certification
ability to pass background check
ability to lift up to or over 30lbs and occasionally over 50lbs
ability to stand, sit, and walk consistently
ability to use kitchen equipment
ability to drive motor vehicles as needed
excellent communication skills
physical ability to perform medium to heavy workload
ability to work in a spoke filled environment
willingness to maintain cleanliness and safety standards

Job Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Culinary or closely aligned field preferred
minimum two years of professional baking experience
knowledge of food preparation, menu development, and pricing
previous experience controlling food and labor costs
strong organization and leadership skills
basic math skills
ability to motivate and supervise food service personnel
ability to maintain records and complete reports
excellent written and oral communication skills including problem-solving and conflict resolution
ability to interact positively with employees and customers
capacity to plan and allocate resources effectively
good judgment and decision-making skills
ability to meet schedules and deadlines
ability to select and develop staff
initiative and resourcefulness
constructive thinking for process improvement
excellent personal courtesy and tact
ability to foster teamwork and collaboration

previous managerial or supervisory experience preferred

Job Duties

Design, execute, and improve recipes
perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products
use icings, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance presentation
process customer orders
greet customers and answer questions
clean workstations and baking equipment including ovens, mixers, proofers, floors, freezers, and refrigerators
prepare, produce, and bake breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts
develop new products for a la carte or rotating menus
set time and speed controls for mixing and blending machines
measure or weigh ingredients accurately
prepare garnishes for baked goods
maintain adequate supply and proper storage of prepared products
minimize spoilage and waste by proper ordering and product rotation
organize baked goods on mobile carts for outlet or function needs
utilize leftovers into usable products
perform other duties as assigned
