Job Requirements
- Ability to represent and support Big Y's culture of caring while living our mission and vision
- Supports Big Y's diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
- Must be proficient in baking and ordering for the bakery department
- Must project a clean and professional appearance
- Ability to operate within company policies, procedures and standards
- Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven baking experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of bakery products and production
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to operate within company standards and procedures
Job Duties
- Prepare fresh baked goods daily
- Maintain bakery standards including cleanliness and food safety
- Manage inventory and ordering for bakery products
- Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Cross-train in other bakery areas as needed
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Work flexible schedules according to store needs
