Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- positive attitude and strong customer service skills
- good communication and teamwork abilities
- ability to use bakery equipment safely
- capability to stand for prolonged periods and lift items up to 40 lbs
- adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- possession of Food Handler's permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior with positive attitude and customer interaction skills
- possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- hold and maintain a Food Handler's permit
- be able to stand for extended periods and handle items up to 40 lbs
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, products, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping in the department including cleaning and sanitizing work area
