Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3 to 5 years of baking experience preferred
Ability to follow recipes accurately
Capability to work independently and as part of a team
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
Availability to work 8 hour day shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Experience as a baker, pastry chef or similar role
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
Understanding of food safety practices
Excellent time-management skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
Team spirit with a customer-focused attitude
Certification from a culinary school is a plus
Experience operating a horizontal flow wrapping machine is a plus

Job Duties

Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
Bake different bread types like brioche and baguettes
Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies
Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries including croissants, cookies and sweet rolls
Follow recipes and work with little supervision
Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
