Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven baking experience in a professional bakery setting
- Knowledge of baking techniques ingredient functions and food safety standards
- Ability to work early morning shifts between 4am and 6am
- Capability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays except Christmas and Thanksgiving
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry cook in a bakery pastry shop restaurant or similar setting
- Strong understanding of baking techniques ingredient functions and recipe scaling for yeasted breads pastries and chemically leavened cakes and cookies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Flexibility to work early mornings weekends and holidays except Christmas and Thanksgiving
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods including breads pastries cakes and cookies following established recipes and techniques
- Ensure the quality taste and appearance of all baked products meet high standards
- Assist in developing and testing new recipes and variations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies and communicate with management for timely replenishment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth bakery operations from preparation to baking to packaging
