Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare or trayline or related experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to perform lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work various shifts and positions
- Willingness to maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform policies
- Ability to operate safely in wet and slippery environments
- Physical capacity to bend and lift frequently
- Adherence to hospital's attendance and time card policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare or trayline or related food preparation experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of standardized recipes and food safety procedures
- Experience in adhering to strict sanitation and food handling standards
- Familiarity with ingredient control and cost management in food production
Job Duties
- Quality food preparation including utilization of standardized recipes and ingredient control
- Follow proper preparation procedures
- Check food texture, color, aroma and taste prior to service
- Ensure safe food handling including proper food rotation and safe food storage with no cross-contamination
- Label and date all food items and utilize products within 48 hours
- Practice proper time management by following position timelines and ensuring productive use of non-break time
- Maintain cost controls by recording all food production amounts and adhering to department attendance and time card policies
- Attend scheduled department inservices and participate in production meetings
- Successfully cross-train in all production positions and assist with training others
- Contribute to the hospital's mission by maintaining a professional image and responding positively to guests and staff
