Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • over one year of experience as a baker preferred but not required
  • availability to work varied hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 8-hour shifts
  • ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform repetitive motions required in baking
  • willingness to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • ability to work in hot environments due to ovens and warmers
  • ability to wear required attire including safety toes and non-slip shoes
  • good vision to ensure product quality and safety

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • over one year of experience as a baker preferred but not required
  • knowledge of basic baking processes and techniques
  • familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ability to operate baking equipment
  • precision in measuring ingredients and following recipes
  • time management skills to meet production schedules
  • ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple demands
  • good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

Job Duties

  • Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
  • weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
  • operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofing chambers
  • shape, mold, and decorate dough to create a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
  • monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
  • coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
  • assist in inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies
  • follow strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic baking environment
  • perform other duties as assigned
