Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of professional pastry and baking experience
  • Advanced culinary or pastry knowledge
  • Strong baking and pastry techniques
  • Proficiency in knife skills and multitasking
  • Ability to manage production independently and collaboratively
  • Skilled in operation and maintenance of bakery kitchen equipment
  • Ability to maintain brand standards and control food costs
  • Stand and walk for full shifts with frequent bending, squatting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Perform frequent repetitive motions such as stirring, chopping, and mixing
  • Work safely near ovens, hot surfaces, steam, and cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to communicate clearly, read recipes, and follow procedures
  • Must obtain required food handling and sanitation certifications

Job Qualifications

  • Strong baking and pastry techniques with attention to taste, quality, and presentation

Job Duties

  • Prepare bread, pastries, and specialty baked goods following recipes, portion, and presentation standards
  • Maintain mise en place and set up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
  • Monitor inventory, control waste, and assist with ordering supplies
  • Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, fryers, slicers, and grills
  • Label, date, and store food items properly
  • rotate stock to ensure freshness
  • Contribute to menu development and create baked goods for special events and dietary needs
  • Train, mentor, and support junior pastry staff
  • Work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors in compliance with company standards
