Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree preferred
- minimum 18 years of age
- previous food service experience
- current food safety training certificate required
- ability to read and speak English and Spanish preferred
- ability to understand and follow instructions in English and Spanish
- good interpersonal skills
- ability to use bakery equipment properly
- responsible for own actions
- availability to work scheduled hours including holidays and weekends
- basic math skills
- ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
- attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum 18 years of age
- previous food service experience
- current food safety training certificate valid for three years
- ability to read and speak English and Spanish preferred
- ability to understand and follow instructions in both languages

- ability to properly use bakery equipment

Job Duties
- Light the gas ovens and check for leaks upon arrival in the morning
- bake bread, pastries, and other bakery items as needed
- prepare flan, custards, rice pudding, or other bakery items
- place loaves of bread in bags and display for sale, restocking when necessary
- maintain awareness of floor conditions and ensure safety for customers and staff
- restock food displays retrieving items from back room, kitchen, and cooler
- maintain sanitary work area in compliance with federal, state, local, and company health and safety codes
- clean and sanitize utensils and equipment
- properly use kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, fryers, and steamers
- report accidents promptly according to company procedures
- assist the head cook as needed
- ensure safe handling of hot food trays
- maintain cleanliness and use gloves when warranted
- prepare bread dough overnight for morning baking
- attend and participate in store or department meetings
- ensure punctuality and good attendance
- perform other related duties as required
