Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- High level of coordination
- Capability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand and walk continually
- Ability to handle exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and odors
- Must have high mobility and flexibility
Job Qualifications
- Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service gained through in-house training
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Previous food preparation experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during peak times
Job Duties
- Report to work well-groomed in clean and proper uniform and practice good personal hygiene
- Make and prepare all baked food items including pies, muffins, cookies, quiche, meatloaf, and ribs
- Adjust controls to regulate temperature of ovens
- Monitor and oversee food temperatures during hot and cold handling to prevent food borne illness
- Measure ingredients and mix by hand or with mixer, cut and mold dough into desired shapes
- Prepare meats or baked foods according to recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment
- Observe and test foods by tasting, smelling, and piercing for doneness
- Serve high quality food ensuring items are complete and attractive
- Assist in steam kettles and grill line during peak business
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations and manage time effectively
