Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in baking in a professional setting
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and production schedules
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to work standing for long periods
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance with regulations (HACCP, ServSafe, or equivalent)
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food handler certification

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a baker in a high-volume, fine-dining, or luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, yeast breads, laminated doughs, pastries, and dessert preparation
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Familiarity with modern baking trends and artisan techniques preferred
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Culinary or bakery school training is a plus
  • Food handler certification required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake breads, rolls, viennoiserie, and other baked goods according to established recipes and production schedules
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all baked products
  • Measure, mix, knead, proof, and bake doughs and batters, ensuring proper texture, flavor, and appearance
  • Decorate baked goods when required, including artisan breads, specialty pastries, and seasonal creations
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery, including ovens, mixers, workstations, and storage areas, in compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, ServSafe, or equivalent)
  • Assist in inventory management and report shortages or quality concerns to the Executive Pastry Chef or Head Baker
  • Collaborate with culinary and service teams to meet guest expectations for quality and presentation
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
